IHA General & Event Policies
IHA Health & Safety Policy
The health and well-being of our event participants is a priority. This health and safety policy (“Policy”) applies to attendees, exhibitors, faculty, and staff at International Housewares Association events (“IHA Event(s)”), including, but not limited to, The Inspired Home Show. Registrants will be expected to accept and comply with Policy as a condition of participating in an IHA Event.
Registrants will be expected to observe and obey all published rules, instructions, and warning, and further agree to follow oral instructions or directions given by IHA, and its officers, employees, agents, staff, volunteers, law enforcement or security personnel, or any of those of the Show’s venue as a condition of participating in The Inspired Home Show.
Further, by attending an IHA Event, Registrants recognize and accept the inherent risk associated with attending the Show and participating in the activities associated with the Show and assume full responsibility for personal injury to oneself, and release and discharge the IHA and the Show venue for injury, loss or damage arising out of the same, whether by the fault of the Registrant, IHA, the venue or other third parties.

IHA Privacy Policy
Introduction
This Privacy Policy (this “Policy”) applies to Housewares.org and any other website that we operate (each a “Site” and, collectively, the “Sites”). National Housewares Manufacturers Association d/b/a International Housewares Association (“IHA” or “we” or “us”) operates each Site to provide online access to information about IHA and the products and services we offer.
Use of this Site is governed by our Terms of Use. This Policy is incorporated into the Terms of Use.
This Policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide to us, and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information when you visit a Site or access or use any content, functionality, and services offered on or through a Site (collectively, the “Service(s)”)

IHA recognizes any data related to an identifiable individual or which identifies an individual as “Personal Data” subject to this Policy. Depending on how you interact with IHA, we collect and use different types of Personal Data. Types of information we may collect include information:
- By which you may personally identified, such as your name, username, e-mail address, mailing address, telephone number, and payment information (if products or services are purchased from IHA);
- About your internet connection, the equipment you use to access our Services, and usage details; and
We collect this information:
- Directly from you when you provide it to us.
- Automatically as you navigate through the Site. Information collected automatically may include usage details, IP addresses, and information collected through cookies and other tracking technologies.
- From third-parties, for example, our business partners.

Purpose of Collection
We use information that we collect about you or that you provide to us, including any Personal Data to:

As stated above, our Services may link to third-party websites, online services, or mobile applications and/or contain advertisements from third parties that are not affiliated with us—and which may link to other websites, services, or applications. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy or practices of other websites or third parties. We do not make any guarantee regarding those third-party websites, services, or applications, and we are not liable for any loss or damage caused by the use of such sites. Any data collected by third parties is not covered by this Policy. Consent and Withdrawal
Where required by law, we will obtain your consent before collecting, using, or disclosing your Personal Data. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us using the details in the Contact Us section below. Withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

We may disclose deidentified and aggregated information about our users without restriction.
We may disclose information, including Personal Data and business information, to suppliers to provide you with the Services. Suppliers will collect and use this information in accordance with their own privacy policies, and IHA is not responsible for supplier’s use of this information.

- To fulfill the purpose for which you provide it; for example, when using the Services, you may provide us with information to sign up for events, request specific information about programs, or register or apply for various programs or services, and we will use the information you provide us to evaluate and process your request or application or provide you with the services you request;

We may use for other purposes and disclose to third parties information that does not constitute Personal Data.
We may also disclose your Personal Data:

- To enforce or apply the Terms of Use and other agreements between you and IHA; and

How Long We Retain Your Information
We will keep your Personal Data while you have an account with us or while we are providing the Services to you. Thereafter, we will keep your Personal Data for as long as is necessary to respond to any questions, complaints or claims made by you or on your behalf or to the extent necessary to keep records required by law.
Choices About How We Use and Disclose Your Information
We strive to provide you with choices regarding the Personal Data you provide to us. We have created mechanisms to provide you with the following control over your information:

- Opt-out of marketing communications: You can opt-out anytime by following the opt-out instructions in our commercial e-mails or contacting us at privacy@housewares.org. You will continue to receive emails relevant to course event registrations or purchases (e.g., registration confirmations or purchase receipts), information necessary to your continued membership in the IHA (e.g., dues notices) or information relevant to exhibiting in a current or future event. If you believe that SPAM has been sent from us, please contact us at privacy@housewares.org so that we can investigate and rectify the situation.
We do not control third parties’ collection or use of your information to serve interest-based advertising. However, these third parties may provide you with ways to choose not to have your information collected or used in this way.
Do Not Track
Our Services do not respond to Do Not Track signals. However, some third-party websites do keep track of your browsing activities. If you are visiting such websites, you can set your preferences in your web browser to inform websites that you do not want to be tracked. You can enable or disable Do Not Track signals by visiting the preferences or settings page of your web browser.
Confidentiality and Security
IHA values your privacy and is committed to protecting your Personal Data. We have appropriate administrative, technical, and physical safeguards in place to ensure the integrity and security of your Personal Data. Updating Your Information

Children Under the Age of 18
Our Services are not intended for children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18. If you are under 18, do not use or provide any information through the Services. If we learn we have collected or received information from a child under 18 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under 18, please contact us using the information listed in the Contact Us section below.

The last date of revision of this Policy is set forth above. You are responsible for ensuring we have an up-to-date active and deliverable email address for you, and for periodically visiting the Sites and this Policy to check for changes. Request Processing and Verification.

If we cannot verify your identity (and, where applicable, proof of residency) to our satisfaction, we will not provide or delete your Personal Data.

International Transfers of Personal Data
IHA is based in the United States, and we process and store information on servers located in the United States. By accessing or using the Services or otherwise by providing information to us, you consent to the processing, transfer and storage of your information in and to the United States, where you may not have the same rights as you do under local law. Continually, by using our Services, or by providing any Personal Data to us, where applicable law permits, you consent to the transfer, processing, and storage of such information outside of your country of residence where data protection standards may be different. With whom do we share this information?
Information collected through Google Analytics is shared with Google and its partners who may combine it with other information you’ve provided to them or they’ve collected from your use of their services. Social advertising cookies are shared with Facebook and Google, according to their privacy policies. Information collected when you access to social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube will be associated with your account when you are logged into these social networks. By clicking on the symbol of the social network, new cookies and information about you will be collected through these platforms according to the respective privacy policies for those platforms.
What other technologies do we use in email marketing?
When we send you email marketing communications we employ Sales Force for email tracking which includes clear gifs that help us better manage our email marketing communications by informing us what content is effective. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier embedded in emails and let us know for instance, which emails have been opened by recipients.
You can always opt-out of our marketing communications by using the unsubscribe link located at the bottom of our email communications or you can contact us.

Consent to Terms and Conditions

Contest Official Rules and Regulations
Contest Entry & Eligibility
- By entering the Contest, entrants:
- Agree to accept and be bound by all terms of these Official Rules and Regulations; and,
- Agree that Illinois courts have jurisdiction over any disputer or litigation arising from or relating to Sweepstakes and that the venue shall only be Chicago, Illinois.
- International Housewares Association (“IHA”) and its advertising and promotion agencies are not responsible for lost, late, misdirected or stolen entries or transmissions, or problems of any kind whether mechanical, human, or electronic.
- IHA reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, modify or prematurely conclude the Contest should any malfunction, fraud, tampering, unauthorized intervention or other cause beyond its control corrupt the administration, security or proper operation of the Contest. False or deceptive entries or acts will render the participant ineligible and IHA reserves the right to disqualify any participant who attempts to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest by tampering with Contest procedures, using automated entry devices or programs, acting in a disruptive manner or violating these Official Rules. Any attempt by an individual to deliberately damage or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be in violation of criminal civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, IHA reserves the right to seek remedies and damages (including attorney’s fees) from any such participant to the fullest extent of the law, including criminal prosecution.
- Void where prohibited by law. This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws of the United States. By participating via Twitter, Facebook or other social media tools, Entrants agree to be fully and unconditionally bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of IHA and waive any and all rights to claim ambiguity in the Contest or these Official Rules.
- All prize details are at IHA’s discretion.
- Prizes are limited to one per person.
- Contest submissions are welcome from all legal U.S. residents only.
- The Contest will run for a specified period of time as stated in the marketing material announcing the Contest.
- All prizes will be awarded within sixty (60) days of the Contest end-date.
- The contest is open to all people of age 18 or greater, unless other restrictions apply.
- IHA will not verify receipt of entry.
- Automated entries and use of automated devices or programs to submit entries are grounds for disqualification.
- IHA employees and their family members are not eligible to participate.
- The Contest Winner must be a resident of the United States.
- No purchase necessary.
Restrictions on Winning
The Contest Winner must accept their prize within thirty (30) days of notification via email or an alternate Winner will be selected.
A Winner is defined as the Contest participant that accepts the prize within thirty (30) days of notification and whose eligibility has been verified.
Limits of Liability
- Neither IHA, nor its officers, directors, agents, or affiliated entities are responsible for:
- Any loss (financial or otherwise), liability, injury or damage to persons property which may be caused directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, by the use or misuse of any prize items provided; or
- Any liability for the cancellation, modification or premature conclusion of the Contest for any reason or through the acts or defaults of any company or person providing the prize. All such losses and expenses must be borne by the affected participant and/or Winner.
Ethics Policy
Contributors to The International Housewares Association (“IHA”) are independent contractors who create and publish content on TheInspiredHome.com and affiliated sites and email properties (collectively, the “Site”). Contributors are compensated in part based on the amount of content that they create and/or the page views of the Site containing the content they create. IHA contractually requires that its contributors maintain high ethical standards and all legal requirements, including Federal Trade Commission (“FTC”) disclosure requirements. The contributors, and not IHA, are responsible for their own compliance with these standards. These contributors and other writers provide advice and information that they intend to be not only practical but trustworthy. These contributors and other writers write and are responsible for their content, and this content is made available on TheInspiredHome “AS IS”. By attending The Inspired Home Show and all related events sponsored by IHA, you hereby represent that you are at least 18 years of age [and, if applicable, the parent or legal guardian of an attendee under the age of 18 in your party, with the legal right, power, and authority to consent to this authorization on behalf of the minor and yourself] and consent to having your photo / likeness / voice recordings posted publicly and on social media by IHA and The Inspired Home Show, in their sole discretion, for marketing and promotional purposes. You acknowledge that all copyright in and to such photographs and recordings shall be exclusively owned by IHA, and IHA may freely use such photographs and recordings.
You further grant IHA and its affiliates a perpetual, royalty-free, fully paid up, non-exclusive, irrevocable, worldwide, transferable license to use, copy, modify, aggregate, publicly display, publicly perform, process and compile with other information without further notice, consent, or compensation your photo / likeness / voice recordings and biographical/professional information in any and all media and by any and all technologies and means of delivery for marketing and promotional purposes, without further consent from, or any payment or other compensation to, you.
