EIGHT COMPANIES HONORED WITH GLOBAL INNOVATION AWARDS FOR BOOTH EXCELLENCE

CHICAGO (March 3, 2019)—Eight International Home + Housewares Show exhibitors were honored with Global Innovation Awards (gia) for Booth Excellence today with two companies named Global Honoree. Two finalists were selected in each Show expo, one each for large and small booths. The winners were announced during special presentations at the 2019 International Home + Housewares Show here at McCormick Place. The Show, which features more than 2,200 exhibitors and 60,000 attendees, runs through Tuesday.

Home Products International – North America, Inc. was named Large Booth Global Honoree and Jars USA was named Small Booth Global Honoree.

Finalists were:

Clean + Contain Expo:

  • Home Products International – North America, Inc., Large Booth
  • YouCopia, Small Booth

Discover Design Expo:

  • L’or De Seraphine, Small Booth
  • ESPRO, Large Booth

Dine + Décor Expo:

  • Wusthof-Trident of America, Inc., Large Booth
  • Jars USA, Small Booth

Wired + Well Expo:

  • KitchenAid, Large Booth
  • Airfree Produtos Electronicos S.A., Small Booth

Booths were judged on creativity, product placement and visual merchandising to best sell their goods, lighting, graphics, prop use, fixtures and messaging that matches the overall brand communications.

“I am proud that the gia judges selected a small booth for global honoree that captures the essence of bringing merchandise to market through product placement, image branding and supportive fixtures,” said Nancy Michael, IHA senior manager, trade show business development. “For large booth global honoree, the judges chose a booth that employed vibrant graphics and architectural elements displaying how their merchandise would be used in a consumer’s home.”

All of the finalists presented their goods in a fashion-forward manner, Michael said. “The booths were well thought-out, playful and had products that were well positioned to increase sales and quickly educate buyers,” she explained
