The International Housewares Association Launches Consumer
Lifestyle Magazine with The Inspired Home Journal
ROSEMONT, Ill. (March 2, 2018)—The International Housewares Association (IHA), the most influential and long-standing voice of the housewares industry, announces the inaugural issue of its consumer-focused print and digital magazine, The Inspired Home Journal.
The issue will debut at the International Home + Housewares Show, to be held March 10-13 at McCormick Place in Chicago, and copies will be available at The Inspired Home booth in the Grand Concourse Lobby. The digital version will be available starting March 10 at TheInspiredHome.com/Journal.
The publication was born to further expand IHA’s consumer engagement initiative following the success of its lifestyle website (TheInspiredHome.com) and corresponding social channels. “The Inspired Home platform focuses on the Association’s mission to help our exhibiting members reach the consumer through lifestyle-oriented content to ultimately increase sales of home and housewares products,” says Derek Miller, IHA’s vice president, global marketing.
The overarching theme throughout the first issue is “Time Well Spent,” with the goal of highlighting people, products, places and ideas that help readers make the most of their lives at home. The publication is designed to be as beautiful as it is informative with eye-catching, vibrant photography gracing nearly all of the 104 pages.
The International Housewares Association is the 80-year-old voice of the housewares industry, which accounted for (US)$355.4 billion at retail worldwide in 2016 ($87.1 billion at retail in the U.S.). The not-for-profit, full-service association sponsors the world's premier exposition of products for the home, the International Home + Housewares Show, and offers its 1,700 member companies a wide range of services, including industry and government advocacy, export assistance, State-of-the-Industry reports, point-of-sale and consumer panel data through Housewares MarketWatch, executive management peer groups, a unique Web-based community at www.housewares.org and group buying discounts on business solutions services.
