IHA Partners with GOOD360 to Assist in Hurricane Harvey Relief

ROSEMONT, Ill. (September 6, 2017)—Housewares suppliers can help Texas recover from Hurricane Harvey by donating needed products to Good360, the International Housewares Association announced today. IHA is partnering once again with Good360 to provide hurricane victims with home products as they rebuild their lives and homes. IHA last partnered with Good360 in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.

According to the Federal Emergency Management Association (FEMA), approximately 450,000 people need assistance, and more than 30,000 residents have been displaced from their homes. Good360 is working closely with FEMA to help shelters with immediate needs such as personal items, toiletries and water. Efforts will soon move into the recovery and rebuilding phases that will last for months and years.

IHA members can help Good360 pre-position product to help in the rebuilding phase. Companies with products that can help in any stage of the disaster can easily complete Good360’s online donation form and the Good360 staff will get the donated product to the right place at the right time to best assist the victims of Harvey.

“We’re pleased to partner with Good360 and leverage the generosity of the housewares industry to help make a difference for thousands of hurricane victims,” said Phil Brandl, IHA president & CEO. “Good360 is an organization with an impeccable track record of distributing needed products in a well-managed and structured way. Their corporate partners in disaster recovery include Walmart, Crate & Barrel, Home Depot, CVS and UPS.”

Members with questions about donating product can contact Jim Alvey Good360’s director of corporate development at or visit for more information.
