Inventors Andy and Lindsey Markelz identified a simple problem; it's annoying to button collared shirts to hang them, but if you don't, closets look messy and collars become droopy.
After realizing there were no products on the market to address this need, Andy created a homemade prototype of the Collar Keeper. Prototypes will be available for demonstrations and booth visitors are welcome to try it too!
This product is very easy for consumers to understand and relate to. In a survey with 233 respondents, 81% find it annoying to button the shirt when hanging; 33% find it either very annoying or so annoying that they don't button it at all.
The Collar Keeper will go into production after IHHS; the Markelz' hope to glean valuable feedback from retailers to inform final design.
