Elizabowl addresses the rarely considered fact that fruit bowls really have two functions: storage and display. Separate compartments for each fruit minimize bruising and reduce the transfer of ethylene gas that causes over-ripening. The flexible form contracts and expands to hold various amounts of fruit. Elizabowl brings new interaction to the typical user experience of placing and selecting fruit, and its appearance enhances any home décor.

Judges’ comments:

  • Poetic form attracts user involvement
  • Excellent exploration and discovery of solutions
  • Presentation illustrates the product’s versatility and fun
