The Floating Humidifier is a battery-powered device meant for travelers. It eliminates the water reservoir and floats on the surface of water in any container, such as a hotel ice bucket or a bathroom sink. The humidifier’s size, single-button control, ergonomic shape and playful appearance offer benefits to families with young children. Its simple operation and smooth surfaces encourage frequent cleaning for healthier environments.

Judges’ comments:

  • identifies an unmet need for a family health product in the travel market
  • form and color appeal to children; convenience and ease of use appeal to parents
  • good sketches and technical drawing, fine research in user observations and functionality
