The Adapt Electrical System is a portable unit that consists of an extension cord on a retractable reel, a surge protector and waterproof outlets that attach into docking ports along the cord. The system adapts to a user’s varied needs for outdoor electrical power, combining the service now provided by a jumble of incompatible, inefficient and unsafe items. Adapt’s styling differentiates it in a market crowded with dull, similar products.

Judges’ comments:

  • inventive concept pushes the boundaries of existing technology
  • excellent analysis of problems with current products and user behavior
