A Southern Season has set the industry standard for cross-merchandising housewares with specialty food. The 59,000 ft2 ( 5,500 m2) store features a brilliantly executed 9,600 ft2 (900 m2) House & Home Department that includes a distinctive Villa Vietri tabletop section, cookware, small electrics, gadgets, glassware, decorative gifts, cutlery and more—representing approximately 50,000 SKUs.

An innovative floor plan promotes a natural flow between housewares and specialty food, while at the same time creating a distinctly upscale department for the extensive hard goods selection. House & Home lies at the center of the store, with all of the other departments following a racetrack design around it. Each category within House & Home is designed to cross-merchandise with the department across the aisle. For example: cutting boards across from the Cheese and Deli Department, and wineglasses and accessories across from the Wine Department.
