Turkey – Ancel, Istanbul
Established in 1914, Ancel is a true family business that for decades has played a key role in the Turkish glassware and housewares market. Today, the company is run by third and fourth generations of the family.
Ancel considers itself a lifestyle company, reflecting a “think global, act local” philosophy. With product assortments built around housewares, kitchenware and giftware, there are now six Ancel retail stores, most of which are located in Istanbul. The spectacular window displays, reflecting important events and Turkish customs, deserve a special mention.
Ancel stands for quality and service. The stores have hostesses and lounges to encourage customers to spend time in the store, and in regions where there are no Ancel stores, road-show tours are conducted every two months to bring products to their customers.
