Inspiration H.P. Nielsen Roskilde can trace its roots back to 1876 when Johannes Bigler opened a housewares shop on the main street in Roskilde, Denmark. Now run by the third and fourth generations of the Nielsen family, the store focuses on Scandinavian design but offers home products from around the world.
This store welcomes customers with cooking and product demonstrations, wine tastings and book signings. That is especially important in Denmark where there are strong competition and educated consumers with great buying power.
