Founded in 1963 by William Snyder and Glen Forbes, William Glen began as a decorating studio and candle shop. Through the years, it evolved to include a product mix that includes gifts, decorative accessories, housewares, tabletop and collectibles. The store’s leaders have successfully predicted the needs and desires of its customers and community, while still honoring their initial mission.
In 1985, the William Glen Market was opened to further serve customers’ needs. That has since evolved into the current deli/cafe/market structure, a full-service market with indoor and outdoor seating. The store is a true example of what specialty retailing and staying true to your customers’ desires is all about.
