Total Food Equipment (TFE), based in Napier on New Zealand’s North
Island, is a homewares and commercial catering outlet that excellently
fuses commercial and consumer interests. TFE has unique depth and breadth
to its product offering, with the accent on durability and design. TFE’s
fabulous retail store incorporates the best aspects of good retailing:
store design, quality products and professional, service- orientated
staff. Unique services include a fully qualified in-store barista, in-store
cooking demonstrations, knife knowledge classes in the evenings and coffee
training schools. The family business was established in 1991 by husband-and-wife
team Mike and Kristen McLay who are now joined by their two daughters
and a son-in-law. Merchandising and promotional activities are of an
extremely high standard, which has led a major growth during its relatively
short time in operation.
