A relative newcomer to the retail trade, Abraxas Cookshop was founded in 1996 by entrepreneurial sisters Sarah George and Helen Sparrow. They quickly made their mark on the UK housewares retail scene as news of this impressive store, set in an idyllic rural location near Althorp House, the childhood home of Princess Diana, spread throughout England. Abraxas Cookshop occupies the top floor of a converted barn in the Heart of the Shires Shopping Village, a courtyard of farm buildings constructed in 1867. In addition to shopping in this unique shopping environment, customers are pleased to find a vast product offering, knowledgeable staff, superb merchandising, effective in-store promotions and strong commitment to customer service.
