SUSTAINABILITY: Creating Retail Opportunities with Sustainable Design
Steve Belletire's presentation will feature an overview of how sustainable design and development connect to ongoing challenges and opportunities in retail housewares markets. It will also include a glimpse at Okala, an innovation tool being used by some new product teams to create concepts that meet the needs of manufacturers, distributors, retailers, consumers and the environment.
You'll leave with an actionable checklist—suggestions for helping improve the environmental performance of your company's products—as well as strategies on how to position environmental benefits in ways that complement the needs of your retail partners.
Since 1971, Steve Belletire has been a design consultant working with international brand clients like 3M, Black & Decker and Thermos. As vice-president at Joss Design Group in Chicago, he helped create hundreds of successful products for global markets. Belletire has also designed trade show exhibits in addition to many packaging and point-of-sale solutions for retailers.
