Criteria for Product Submission:

Have you:

  • Created a totally new product whose materials or production improve upon other products with same or similar function?
    or
  • Improved one of your existing products? If so, compare "before and after" products to indicate changes in materials or production and explain the environmental impact of these changes.

Outline how your product:

  • Uses materials that are renewable, recycled, or recyclable.
  • Uses new green technologies.
  • Reduces consumption of raw materials in production.
  • Reduces consumption by users. Is the product more durable, extending the product’s useful life? Does it eliminate the use of a more wasteful product?
  • Reduces weight in the product, thus reducing shipping costs.
  • Reduces the use of fossil fuels in production and/or distribution.

Have the environmental benefits of the product’s materials or production/distribution processes been documented by an impartial, third-party certifier?
